Firecracker Cupcakes and a Cupcake Couture Blog Party with a Sweet GIVEAWAY!!

We are so excited to be a part of the Sprinkles Will Fly Cupcake Couture Blog Party & we are joining 23 other talented bloggers in decorating patriotic cupcakes!  We decided to make these easy Firecracker Cupcakes to bring to the party to match our Bella Cupcake Couture cupcake wrappers! Don't you just love the Patriotic Cupcake Wrappers that we used?! They are awesome and turned out perfect for these cupcakes! These are so simple to make and the kids can even help make them! Thanks so much to our hosts Carrie Middlemiss from Bella Cupcake Couture and Betsy Eves, of JavaCupcake.com & Cupcakes Take the Cake!

You can enter the sweet Giveaway below!

Firecracker Cupcakes

1 Cupcake Recipe or Mix (we used Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix)
White Frosting
Patriotic & Yellow Sprinkles
Mini Marshmallows
Star Marshmallows (Jet-Puffed)
Red & Blue Edible Marker
Yellow Color Spray (Wilton)
Lollipop Sticks

Make your cupcakes..cool..then frost.  Wrap the patriotic  Bella Cupcake Couture cupcake wrappers around the cupcake. Cut a lollipop stick in half using kitchen scissors.  Have the kids help by coloring each side of a mini marshmallow with red & blue edible marker.  Push the mini marshmallows onto the sticks.  Take the mini star marshmallows and lay them on wax paper.  Spray them with yellow edible color spray.  The kids can drop sprinkles on them before they dry. This will give them a sparkly look.  Press the yellow star marshmallows on top. We also used patriotic sprinkles for the top.

These were so much fun & so easy to make!

Here is a close up...
