We always love making fun president pancakes and this year my boys wanted to make Abraham Lincoln for President's Day! This was so much fun to make and it's also a great way to talk with your kids about our different presidents and our history of Abraham Lincoln! I have to say that Ab does not look very happy about being eaten!:)
Abraham Lincoln Pancakes
Pancake Mix (we like this Pillsbury recipe)
Dark Grapes
1 Stackers Marshmallow (Jet-Puffed)
We shaped the face with our pancake mix over low heat. We also made another large pancake to cut out the nose, mouth, & ears using kitchen scissors. Nothing has to be perfect...just cut around the edges using the kitchen scissors. We cut a stackers marshmallow in half and cut around the edges for the eyes. We cut the dark grapes in half to make the hat. We cut the other grapes in half and then in half again to make the hair & beard.
Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Here are some of our other President Pancakes....
Mitt Romney (this was for the election)
Martin Luther King (I know...not a President, but thought we would include him as well!)
