Lets Go Fly a S'mores!

We thought it would be fun to make a kite out of s'mores.  We still have lots of left over candy around here from Easter and Valentines Day so we are always looking for creative ways to get rid of it!  These are really easy to make and lots of fun for the kids!

To make 2 of these Kite S'mores you need...

4 Large Graham Crackers (we used Honey Maid)
6 Large Marshmallows
Chocolate & White Cookie Frosting
Heart Candies
Rainbow Twizzler Strings

Take the large graham crackers and cut the edges in the shape of a kite using kitchen scissors.  Make 4 of them.  Take 2 large marshmallows and cut them in half. Squeeze chocolate cookie frosting on 2 of the cut out graham crackers.  Place the marshmallows on top.  It will look like this...

Squeeze more of the chocolate cookie frosting on top of the marshmallows like this....

Pick out whatever colors you want to use from the rainbow Twizzlers.  We used 2 whole ones going down and pinched off a bit on the string going across.  Glue them on with the white cookie frosting.  We used heart candies for the bows.  Glue them together first with the frosting and then glue them on to the string.

You can also push through a lollipop stick through the bottom when everything is set.

Here is a side view...

Here is my poor little 1 year old just dying to take a bite of that Kite Pop!

Cinco de Mayo Lunch

We made this fun Cinco De Mayo Lunch today and we had a lot of fun making this!  It's so easy!  Takes just minutes to make and the kids will love it!

You need...

1 Smucker's Uncrustables PB&J (or you could use the deli flat bread)
1 Red Apple
3 Mini Chocolate Chips
Peanut Butter
A Half of a Banana
1 Mini Marshmallow

We cut off the back bottom side of the apple so it would tilt back just a bit.  We cut off the front of the apple for the face.  We cut out the mustache using kitchen scissors from the apple peel scraps.  We also cut out small circles to put around the sombrero.  We did this by using the bigger side of a frosting tip.  We cut a mini marshmallow in half for the eyes and used mini chocolate chips for the pupils. Same for the nose.  We cut off the end of a banana and put that on top of the Uncrustables sandwich.  We glued everything on with peanut butter.

Here is my 8 year old son with his Cinco de Mayo Lunch!

Dora Pancake Breakfast

We made this Dora Pancake Breakfast awhile back.  I am sure my boys had one of their little girl friends over at the house that I made this for.  It's very easy to do.  We made 1 large pancake and put that on the plate.  We cut dark grapes in half and shaped that around the top of the pancake for her hair.  We use whipped cream spray for the eyes and mouth. We also cut up a grape with kitchen scissors for the eyes and nose.  Super simple and your little Dora fan will love this breakfast!

Easy Frog Pops

We made these Frog Pops a long time ago and I remember them being so easy to make!

We used...

Jumbo Marshmallows
Large Marshmallows
Chocolate Chips
Green Edible Color Spray
Red & White Cookie Frosting
Red Starburst
Lollipop Sticks

Lay the jumbo marshmallows onto wax paper and spray them green with the green color spray. Let that dry.  Push them on lollipop sticks.  Attach chocolate chips on the large marshmallows with cookie frosting and let that dry.  Attach the large marshmallows on the jumbo marshmallows to look like eyes.  Use the red cookie frosting to make the mouth.  We put a Startburst in the microwave for 6 seconds and pressed it out with our fingers. Cut pieces off of that with kitchen scissors and stretch it out to make the tongue.  Press it on the mouth before it's dry to set.  We made a fly with mini chocolate chips and white cookie frosting for the wings.  You could also make a nose with mini chocolate chips..which we didn't do.

Something fun and quick that the kids can help make!  Here is my then 4 year old with his Frog Pop..ribbit ribbit!

Pirate Lunch

We made this fun Pirate Lunch about a year ago and my then 4 year old just loved it! It's pretty easy to make and gets the kids to eat lots of fruit!

We used...

2 Pieces of Whole Wheat White Bread
Sliced Turkey
Sliced Cheese
1 Banana
A Handfull of Dark Grapes
A Small Handfull of Raisins
1 Red Fruit Roll Up

Cut out the bread into a skull shape with kitchen scissors.  We put turkey and cheese in between ours, but you could make any sandwich.  Cut the ends off the banana and then cut it in half. Make them look like cross bones and use the slices on the ends.  Cut the dark grapes in half and make his hat.  Use a couple of them to make the patch.  We used raisins to make the other eye, nose, and mouth. We cut up a red fruit roll up to make his bandana.

This was so fun to make with him!  If you have a little one at home into pirates they will LOVE this lunch!

Here is my little then 4 year old with his Pirate Lunch making his best pirate face...argh!
