4th of July will be here soon and we are starting to come up with some easy and fun Patriotic Pops and other fun American goodies to celebrate our great country! We made these fun Rice Krispie Treat Flags and Flag Pops. They are so easy to make and took me about 20 minutes to make several of them!
We used pre-made Kellogg's Rice Krispie Treat Bars, Red and Blue Fruit Roll Ups, Red Candies, Cookie Frosting, Star Sprinkles, & Lollipop Sticks.
We opened and placed all of our Rice Krispie Treat Bars on our work surface. Cut the red Fruit Roll Ups in half down the middle like this...
Press the strips on the treat bar and cut off at the edges with kitchen scissors. Cut the blue fruit roll up in squares and do the same. The Star Sprinkles will also stick without using frosting. Press them on...
You can also just leave them as is....
To make them into pops you just poke through the lollipop stick on the left side. Pull it back out and squeeze a little cookie frosting in the bottom hole. Poke the stick back through & out of the top just a bit. Wipe off any frosting on the tip with a paper towel. The frosting will secure any movement of slipping down the stick. Attach little red candies on the top with red cookie frosting. Let it all dry before picking them up.
Here is my oldest with his Flag Pop!
These would be great for the kids at a July 4th party or for a fun snack! The premade Kellogg Rice Krispie Treat Bars really do save you so much time and kids love them!
