Daddy Krabby Patties with a side of Sponge Bob!
I asked my boys for some Father's Day food ideas and this is one that my 7 year old came up with. They said Sponge Bob is not just for kids...it's also for daddy's! Plus...kids will have more fun making a Sponge Bob for their dad. They do have a good point!
This is what we did to make the krabby patties....
2 cans of crab meat
2 cups soft breadcrumbs
1 Tb of minced onion
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1/3 cup light mayonnaise
1 large egg
A dash of salt and pepper
Mix the first 7 ingredients together. Shape into patties. Spray the pan with cooking spray and fry up around 5 minutes on both sides until lightly browned.
My 4 year old would normally never attempt to eat such a think like this, but he gobbled this up!
For the side of Sponge Bob we used...
1 can of chunks or sliced pineapple
We lined up our pineapple into a square. Make the eyes with cottage cheese. Also make a line on the arm and waist with the cottage cheese. We cut the bottom of a bun to make the pants. Use pieces of pineapple for the arms and legs. Use raisins for the eyes, eye lashes, and boots. Cut a strawberry to make the mouth and tie.
This is so fun for the kids to make and we hope that daddy likes it too!
